South Wales
About the chapter
South Wales is in decline and in a growth emergency. It has one of the lowest rates of employment in the country, and with the public sector an increasing size of the economy this puts further pressure on the growth in the region.
South Wales has so much potential, not just for its own benefit but for the benefit of the UK - it has available and affordable land, energy potential (wind and tidal, with the second largest tidal range in the world), proximity to other major UK cities (and is actually closer to the South East than most people realise), and good foundations to grow manufacturing. It just needs us to be bold, take risks and invest in infrastructure and energy to unlock our potential.
Road and Rail

Reduce Energy Costs
